I live in Jyugaoka which is only about 15min away from Shibuya by Toyoko line. This little fancy town is known for it's variety of cake shops and stores full of sweets. One of the famous place is this complex called "Sweets Forest". Bunch of famous cake shops are in the complex and a lot of family enjoy the sweets. Not to mention those shops are own by some famous chef so the taste are guranteed (I hope...). Here is link to Sweets Forest (Japanese)[..continue]
I went to open party for Cartier Collection at Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo (MOT). There were many of famous Japanese celebrities and the art collections were exciting. At the party, I did my best to grab and eat some of those French cheese. Good stuff. Seems like MOT is trying to revive the art scene in Tokyo. Tokyo has many underground art scenes, but not untill recently that they pushed to have new type of major art show cased in Tokyo. Good job Tokyo.[..continue]

According to facts, Japan's population is decreasing. Apparently even in Tokyo, there will be less people in the core of the city in 30yr, and instead of Tokyo people will move out to a major city/prefecture near by. But looking at these photos I took, you definitely can't imagine fewer people in the popular hang outs of the Tokyo urban streets. Where do all these people come and go to?? [..continue]

When a train is crowded during rush hour, it means some serious business. It is something I have realized a long time ago, but it probably feels like being in a chicken cage. It is not fun.[..continue]

I woke up this morning and was surprised to see some snow outside. I have to admit that I'm a little media washed by the Japanese media that the earth temperature is rising every year, and there are less snow falls now. [..continue]
