Hakodate has a famous night view. According to the local people there it ranks on top along with Hong Kong, Milan, etc. Not sure about that, but definitely a spot to visit.
You can take the rope way up to the mountain, and it is open until 10:00PM. When I got to the top, I was surprised to see many chinese speaking folks. I guess business is good in their country. Going to Hakodate from Tokyo is already pricy.

After Sapporo, we managed to get on a train to Hakodate. The ride was about 3 hours. Quite far than what I first expected... But the scenary was really nice. One of the thing you can not miss out is the morning market. It opens from around 5:00am until afternoon. It is located right next to the JR Hakodate station. I was on vacation for 4 days taking a trip to Hokkaido prefecture. Hokkaido is known for it's awesome foods. Being the bigest island located in the north of the main land Japan, Hokkaido is gifted with various fresh sea foods and agricultural products. Before going into the details of my trip, I think it is important to go over some details about Hokkaido.
